Nadine Micallef
Throughout these last few years and also during the pandemic lockdown, I focused mostly on experimenting with a fluid art technique. Originally, I started this technique during my postgraduate study in Fine Art practice. I took a glimpse at my inspiration and decided to go all the way working spontaneously whether it is right or wrong. I mostly allow myself to create images which appear unconsciously while developing the painting further and therefore this leads me to unknown magical territories. Strange shapes and bands of brilliant colours emerge and pop up as if coming out of the depth of a cave. The novelty in this work is to present light and darkness expressed with the whimsicality of the colourful idiom of art.
